Yoohoo! Anyone out there?

This here crafty blog has been neglected. I have been very busy lately and haven't had much time to sew much, except for Make it Perfect pattern testing. There's also the fact that Munchkin and Munchkinster have all their summer clothes sorted out already (MIL went to US a couple of months ago and bought them heaps of summer clothing from Gap and Oshkosh).

But of course, I do want to add a few handmade clothes for my kids. I sewed them things a couple of weeks ago but keep forgetting to take any photos. But here's one that I did remember to take photos of a few days ago.

A simple halterneck dress (which will be perfect for our overseas holiday coming up in less than a month!), using some japanese Little Bo Peep fabric that I bought from Superbuzzy 2 years ago. I must remember to take the photos of the other things I have made!

Front view. Munchkin had been told to stand still hence the very stiff pose.

Love the back view. Of course, a 3 year old can stand still for only that long.

I'm back!

The very slow internet connection for a couple of days left me feeling out of sorts. But it's all good now.....until the next time we get capped!

Here's a bit of craftiness to share with you.

Fabric covered notebooks for gifts. I am planning to make a simple tote to put each of them in and perhaps just a little something else -I haven't quite decided what yet.

Front of the notebook. I used the Andalucia ribbons - I love those ribbons!

Inside of the notebook. I used my snap press on the tabs to close the notebooks.

And
also a bit of baking. Yum!

End of drought

Of the crafty kind!

It feels like it has been a while since I showed something crafty here. I have been sewing but I either forget to take photos or they are for Make It Perfect pattern testing so I can't blog them. I can, however, post a sneak peek of those and expect a post with some of those sneak peeks soon.

Anyway, I sewed a dress for Munchkin. It's pretty, it's pink (but not overly so), it's girly and it has butterflies! What's not to love? But I also made another dress using the same pattern which Munchkin loves since she chose the fabric all by herself so I have an inkling this one's going to be under-utilised. This dress still has not worn yet - weather is waaaay to cold to wear it, and since I get asked if I sell my stuff, I am thinking of selling this one so that some other little girl can enjoy it. It's a Size 4-5 modelled by my 3.5 year old. Hmm, maybe I should sell this other one too - it still hasn't been worn too!

Here's the front. I think Munchkin was watching TV and doing some dance move.

And the back. Frozen in dance move mode!

Front again

Close-up of the butterflies using Kaufman fabric.

And close up of the cute heart buttons, and the fabric is from Freespirit.
